Purpose of NCSG History: Formed in 1989 to provide opportunities for education and information exchange among members. A non-profit organization which seeks to support and advance the work of member metalsmiths and artisans. Objectives: To provide members with demonstrations, workshops and lectures by outstanding teachers, craftspersons, artists and designers. To facilitate the exchange of professional information through quarterly meetings and newsletters, web site, publication of a membership directory, educational activities and exhibitions. Membership: Membership is open to practicing metalsmiths, retail or manufacturing jewelers, students and persons who are interested in the art and wish to be contributing members of the Society.
