Taught by John Fetvedt
Nov 11, 2007 from 9am - 4:30pm at TBD.
Cost: $75 for members (you must be a member to participate). Add $20 to your fee to join NCSG.
This one day workshop will cover tools and techniques for making chains beyond round ring chains with butted joints. It will touch on the basics, including: making jump rings, calculating how much wire will be needed, understanding aspect ratios, transposing chain patterns from one gauge wire to another, and move rapidly into soldering, fusing, deforming, etc. The workshop will cover Argentium™ sterling silver, and the similarity and differences with regular sterling silver. Handouts, practice materials, and at least one earring project will be included in the supply fee. Participants will be encouraged to work on additional projects using materials they bring with them. Some supplies will also be available for purchase from the workshop leader.
